Glow: Canal Convergence 2025

This silent, participatory performance unfolds gradually over the evening, blurring the boundaries between spectacle and stillness, light and landscape, movement and meditation. Seven ethereal, sculptural, otherworldly costumes, glowing from within in monochromatic hues such as ice blue, citrus glow, desert rose, periwinkle, aqua, lilac, tangerine, and mint, drift across the bridges and pathways—each color chosen to evoke the iridescent, ephemeral quality of light as it lives in the desert night.

Rooted in the unique spatial, historical, and energetic character of the site, GLOW does not treat the architecture as backdrop, but as active collaborator. The bridges become thresholds; the canal, a mirror; the city lights, a chorus. Here, the performers are both beacons and vessels, moving slowly, inviting viewers to wander, witness, and become part of the illuminated narrative that gently unfolds.

Designed for a roaming audience, GLOW unfolds over the course of the evening, emphasizing slowness, attention, and subtlety in contrast to the overstimulation of contemporary life. With minimal gesture, it invites the audience to wander, witness, and become part of an unfolding, illuminated world where the audience is not simply observing a performance—but drifting within it, held by atmosphere, attention, and presence. GLOW creates a meditative space for connection, reflection, and wonder within the urban landscape.
